Plan link tool
Line-of-Sight / Fresnel-Zone Link Planning
A fast first-pass check for a proposed sector or backhaul link, using tower coordinates you already have in the system — before you commit a real survey.
What it calculates
Pick any two existing devices (or a proposed point) and a frequency, and the tool returns the straight-line distance plus an indicative first Fresnel-zone radius at the link's midpoint — drawn directly on the map as a dashed line with a clearance circle.
What it's for — and what it isn't
This is a rough first pass, not a substitute for a real line-of-sight survey — it has no terrain or elevation data, so it tells you the zone's geometry, not whether a specific hill or rooftop actually sits inside it. Use it to decide whether a proposed link is worth surveying at all before you send someone out with real equipment.
Where it fits
Planning naturally follows the Topology and Geographic tabs — once you know the shape of the network, this is where you sketch out the next link in it.
